AVG Draci Brno has moved into sole possession of first place in the Czech Extraleague standings by slipping past Technika Brno, 8-6, last Wednesday night to go to 14-2 on the season. The game was a lot closer than Draci is used to playing, since the team has been winning by an average score of 10-3 over 16 games. Technika dropped out of a tie for first with Draci, and is now second in the eight-team Extraleague at 13-3.
Brno’s third Extraleague team, the Brno Express, was surprised by seventh-place Liberac, 3-2, Wednesday night. The Express are in third at 9-7, making it effectively a two-horse race at the top.
