CROYDON SURVIVES, RICHMOND TAKES BRITISH LEAGUE LEAD

Good news, bad news for the British National League’s Croydon Pirates: The good news is that the Pirates have gotten their act together to continue playing this season. The bad news is that they dropped two games to the Richmond Flames last weekend, 20-4 and 17-4, to fall to 0-6 for 2009. With the double win, Richmond now leads the league with a 6-2 record.

Croydon hosts the 4-4 London Mets this week, while the Flames visit the 4-2 Bracknell Blazers, who split two games with the 4-4 Herts Falcons last weekend.
