The Batangas Bulls continue to beat a tattoo on their Baseball Philippines competition this spring. The Bulls destroyed the Manila Sharks, 17-1, on May 17 as starter Vladimir Eguia earned the win with five shutout innings. Eguia got all the help he needed from teammate Vio Roxas, who had three hits (including a homer) and three RBIs as the Bulls scored 13 runs in the sixth inning.
Batangas is now 8-0 for the season, well ahead of the 4-2 Cebu Dolphins, who lost to Alabang, 8-7, on May 18 when the Tigers scored three times in the ninth for the comeback win.
