LONDON WINS SIXTH IN ROW TO TAKE BRITISH LEAD

It certainly took long enough for the London Mets to get things going. The defending British National League champs were 4-4 and holding fourth place in the five-team circuit before reeling off six straight wins to take a slight lead over the Hertfordshire Falcons, who have four consecutive wins of their own. London swept the Richmond Flames in a doubleheader last week, while Herts did the same against the Croydon Pirates. The Bracknell Blazers had the weekend off.

While Herts is 12-6 and in a virtual tie for first with 10-4 London, the Mets are .44 percentage points ahead of the Falcons. Bracknell holds third place at 7-5, Richmond is 9-7 and Croydon is 0-16.
